Eurochair

This one was inspired by an old ad I found for fancy chairs - a vine-like typeface which I've modified here to be squarish and more modern. This is also a single-stroke typeface so that you may thicken as-needed.

About this site:

Type.fwis.com is for me to test myself and see if I can design a new typeface every day for 31 days. You will be able to critique me and download an EPS of the file. This will likely end in tears and embarrassment for myself.

I will not convert any of these to real fonts as I have neither the time nor the knowledge.

For the true-blue typography geeks who are ATypI members and are deeply offended by my blunders, I am quite sorry and you should feel free to hurl insults and old issues of Emigre.

Please let me know if you want to use any of these in a project, I would be honored. It is very likely I will give permission in exchange for a copy of the final piece. See the About section for more details, or contact me.

excellent face chris!

This is a brilliant idea that I may have to rip off, on my own. Ha ha. Good luck, that takes dedication.

Love it. Feels like something my Pennsylvania Dutch grandmother would use to sew a monogram on a napkin.

This one reminds me of Elizabethan embroidery, which my friend Marion Scoular (Sherwood Studio) is a master of, and teaches worldwide.
